Food in the USA is terrible. At least that's what my American friends, and everyone I know who has visited the USA, tell me. As a European, all those ads showing "food" oozing with fat, sugar, salt, chemicals, bright colors just make me feel nauseous. Would you believe that, in the EU, we have regulations about which chemicals and additives can be put in foods or drinks? And "nutriscore" labels? And daily TV ads telling us not to snack all day and to eat more fruit and veggies? I am sure Americans could find that this infringes their constitutional freedoms, but the fact is our life expectancy is more than 5 years longer than yours. There is a reason.
